When files are up for review, there might be a need to collect feedback. On KLASH, there are a number of ways to receive feedback, and this article will go through each one and describe the workflow.

After the first file has been uploaded, you have notes available on the right side of the screen. Here, you can give feedback and reply directly to other people's notes in a thread to keep things organized. Notes can be with or without timestamps, referred to as markers. You can also react to each note to convey certain things quickly on the go. Whenever a timestamped note is posted, a picture is taken of the content along with any drawings on top. This makes it easy to find previous notes or get a quick overview of what it’s about.

Receive feedback from your team

When working with your colleagues, you can see all their notes in its own channel called “Team feed” which contains all of the internal notes around a file. This is different from your clients' feedback; only people invited to the project or team have access to this channel.

Receive feedback from share links

To receive feedback from clients or subcontractors without having them create accounts on KLASH, you can send them share links. Each share link will get its own private channel. This lets you interact directly with the client without worrying about what is being shared internally and externally. It also means two share links will have their own isolated channel, which is useful if you want to avoid notes being viewed by another party. You can switch between the different channels using the menu at the top of notes.

<aside> 💡 Each created share link gets its own private channel. However, you can add as many people as you like to each share, to keep them all in the same loop. If you wish for your clients to be involved in your internal discussion, consider inviting them to the project or team instead. Read about inviting people to your project or team in the Invites and Shares.

Searching and filtering in notes

At the top of the feed, there is a handy search icon. If you click it, you’re prompted to enter something to search for. This will search among all threads and replies to find what you are looking for.

Next to the search icon is the filter menu, here you can decide how you want to sort your notes, what to include, and also show notes from all versions. Notes from versions other than the one you are viewing are marked to indicate where they come from.

Finally, on the far right is the exporting tool, to get your markers into the editing tool of your choice. See the article about Downloading markers from a studio to learn more.
